Discovery Bay’s community running club
We are a tribe if runners who believe in sweating together, supporting each other and making memories that last longer than our post-run coffee breaks. Our mission? to lace up, show up, and crush our goals - all while having a blast!
- Self organised: We come up with our own routines and rotate workout leaders
- Inclusivity: We welcome all paces, from snail to cheetah.
- Support: We've got each other's backs (and feet).
- Safety: We prioritize caution, so we can keep on running (and gossiping).
- Fun: We believe laughter is the best post-run stretch.
- Health: We're in this for the long haul (and the long run).
- Run like the wind (or at least, like we're being chased by a coffee-deprived zombie).
- Create a community that's more like a running family.
- Host events that are the perfect blend of sweat and socializing.
- Prove that running can be fun (yes, really!).
We meet at 6am at the junction of Seabee Lane and DB Road next to the playground on Tuesday and Thursday for a 45 minute run. Free to all, whatever your level of fitness or age. We mix up the routes and routine each week. (note - public holidays we often start later - check with us beforehand)
6am every Wednesday we meet at the Tai Pak Beach playground for a high intensity workout of core, upper body and legs interspersed with sprints along the beach - you only need to bring water and a mat - the rest is free! (note - public holidays we often start later - check with us beforehand)
DB Runners is a self organised group - anyone is free to post dates and times to meet up and go for a run. Sign up to the DB Runners and we’ll add you to our WhatsApp group so you can lookout for posts to meet up and run together
If you want to find out more send us an email or just turn up at one of our runs - everyone is welcome to join
